TRAMTARIA - Seven Summits

Carstensz Pyramide - conquered!
13 November 2000

10.11.2000 New Guinei, Peter Hámor successfuly reached the first of the Seven Summits, the highest peak of Australia and Oceania - Carstensz Pyramide 4.884 m. During the ascend Peter had to face extraordinary climatic conditions. On the top of that the organization of the expedition was hampered by uneasy political situation in the country. In sharp contrast with technical rock climbing (5,6) was a six-day long trek through rainforest to the foot of the mountain. We are glad that Peter successufully overcame all the obstacles and returned. The day after, Peter climbed "second summit"(4.864 m) as a proof of his good physical condition.
